Lockhart_Line 9.14 Sports Update - What a start to the new NFL season!!

NFL News. What a start to the new season! After the first full week we have seen Superbowl favorites falter (Cowboys, Jets, Chargers, Colts, Vikings all have 0-1 records) and perennial underdogs make gains on both sides of the ball. (Texans, Bengals, Lions all look good in losses) The 2010 - 2011 season is going to be one for the ages.
Dallas Cowboys. "A tale of two plays" Yes the ref got the call right on the last play of the game and the Cowboys lost to the hated Redskins but the game was really lost on the last play of the first half!

Lockhart Line 1.23 AFC Championship Prediction

Recorded before 8am 1/23/10 Lockdawg gives his thoughts on the AFC Championship match up between the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Jets. Although the Jets have proven to be world beaters, they will be no match for Peyton the Machine Manning and his mates. COLTS will win!! If Lockdawg's other pick holds up could setup a New Orleans vs Indianapolis in the SUPERBOWL!

FIRST AFRICAN-AMERICAN COACH TO WIN SUPERBOWL STEPS DOWN!!

“There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn't the end of the world, it's the beginning of a new life." Yesterday, a truly inspirational Christian, father, mentor and coach decided it was time to move on.

"I think I've got a responsibility to be home a little bit more, be available to my family a little bit more and do some things to help make our country better," Dungy said. "I don't know what that is right now, but we'll see." (CBSsports.com)

Tony Dungy is the epitome of the word role-model. In a time where winning at all costs lead some in the ranks of coaching to be verbally abusive, contrite, and darn right cantankerous at times, Dungy proved that winning in life was everything not football. He will leave behind a long outstanding legacy after a 31-year NFL career that began as Superbowl champion with the Steelers in the 70's to becoming the first African-American head coach to win it all and hoist the Lombardi trophy in 2006. Tony Dungy is the kind of guy that I would want to coach my son's team because if he never won a game or if he never scored a touchdown, he would still be a winner for having known such a great inspirational man. Happy trails coach, you will be missed!!!
