Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad in January, showing off a tablet computer with a 9.7-inch (25-centimeter) touch screen that can serve up Web pages, e-mail, music, videos, games, electronic books and iPhone applications. (Business Week)
Although the device is bigger and more powerful than a smartphone but smaller and less powerful than a laptop, what it lacks in power and performance it makes up in simplicity and fun. Computerworld writer MIke Elglan believes the unit will be huge. " I'm no fanboy," he said. "I've tried to envision some conceivable series of events that might leave the iPad as only moderately successful, but I can't come up with any. All circumstances, facts and events in technology, media and elsewhere seem to point to the same inexorable outcome: The iPad will be huge."
