SAUCEDA SIZZLES















WILIAMSPORT, Pa- Mexican pitching sensation Jesus Sauceda strikes out every Italian batter he faced today in just three and one half innings as Matamoros Mexico defeated Emilia Italy 12 - 0 at Lamade Stadium. The very modest young man said of the win historic today, "I was glad for my family." He matter of factly destroyed the Italian team throwing only 60 pitches, 45 for strikes. He masterfully placed an array of fastballs, inside, outside and off -speed kept the Italian youngsters swinging mightily; though their attempts to hit him were futile as he inked his position in the record books with the only 12 out perfect game in Little League World Series history. His teammates definitely kept up their end of the deal as they were dominate at the plate going eight for 17 scoring six runs but they weren't needed in the outfield. Jesus contributed as well at the plate with two RBI singles and a mammouth grand-slam home run that was a lazer shot sent high and out onto the hill. ESPN reporter Jose Gomez asked Jesus after the game about his team's plans in the tournament, he said with a fierce competitive conviction, "To be world champions." Their quest for the title Jesus reveals began two years ago with every day practices. With a perfect 2-0 record so far at the World Series this year they are poised now to do just that.
